CBSE system follows 5 subject System. The main subjects are English, 2 Lang Hindi or Kannada , Mathematics, Gen science and Soc. Science. Part B subjects consists of Comp science, Art, SUPW, and Work experience.
In Languages, students are taught all forms of writing. They are given a glimpse of the essence of literature through plays, poems, drama, essays fiction, non-fiction, written reports, communication and other forms of expression.
When it comes to Science, students understand nature, life and its processes, to biological world and interdependence of ecosystem which they do through instruction, observation, experimentation and inference.
In Mathematics students go from alphanumerical representation to understanding of generalization by applying it to different forms of practical daily usage and challenges.
Subjects under social studies such as History, Civics, Political Science and Economics teach students to understand the relevance of being a social being and the importance of society. Economics teaches them the survival in a monetary system. Students learn the basics of demand and supply equation in a national and international trade.
